May I ask, how can a genuine new Röyksopp fan join the forums? With the upcoming release of a new single from Junior, and perhaps another one after that, and the upcoming release of "Senior" there's bound to be some more people eager to join and get involved with the conversation, in the near future. Perhaps you could leave your e-mail address, (on the "Announcements" thread,) such as a Hotmail address created for this specific purpose, and I could add a new Hotmail address too, so that prospective members can e-mail this address to apply for membership. My e-mail would be there since I'm a senior member - other members could add their e-mail address too. The reason for creating a new Hotmail-type (free) e-mail address is to make it not matter if the address is spammed. If the prospective member(s) has to type a letter to apply, it will be easy to differentiate between humans and 'bots. This will solve the problem of people not bing able to join, IMO. I'm up for the "job," I could check this designated now Hotmail or GMail address say every Monday for example, at the same time, and delete any spam, and respond to any genione membership requests. Then I could PM you with the information, such as requested user-name, preliminary password, e-mail address for their forum membership account, and so on. Or you could change my forum permissions, to allow me to approve new members. Either way, this will work, we could at least give it a trial run to see how it goes. This way, it might take a bit longer than it used to for people to join these forums, however, it will keep the forums spam-free.So what do you thing? Can we give this a go please? If you don't have time to approve members this way, I can do it alone, or with some other established members here.
